Georg Schmid‘s photographs explore the search for structure, light, movement, rhythm. They are about time — time standing still, time moving on, about vertical story-telling and slow-moving changes.

Georg Schmid was born in Rosenheim, Bavaria in 1978. After graduating from school he took his career into his own hands, starting off as an intern at a photo lab in Munich to learn about fine art printing. In the years to follow he worked as a photo assistant in Hamburg, Berlin and Düsseldorf for both domestic and international productions.

Georg Schmid has been a freelance photographer since 2011. He lives in Hamburg.
